Turning lived experience into lasting change: Charis Hawkley’s mission for one
Advocacy, policy and the media

Charis Hawkley is a passionate advocate for neurodiversity, turning her lived experience into meaningful change.

Over the past year, she’s delivered a well-received talk at the National Neurodiversity Show and has run disability-awareness training for City Year UK for three consecutive years. Charis uses every available platform, speaking on UK and US podcasts and across social media, to break down stigma and foster inclusion.

As the first Miss Ethereal Beauty Charity, she uses her title to champion charitable causes and community impact. She backs her words with action, raising over £1,800 for charities such as Cancer Research and Macmillan and volunteering more than 150 hours for causes she cares about.
