Pip Rowlands

Helping others find peace in the outdoors
Sports, art and entertainment

You might remember Pip. A climber and canoeist, she was a winner back in 2021 and our judges decided to make her the first person to get a repeat win!

Since 2021 Pip, now aged 25, has overcome her own anxieties to become a role model for autistic and people with learning disabilities, encouraging them to explore nature and get out in wild places.

With severe learning disabilities, autism, anxiety and a visual impairment, Pip has learned that she finds peace in the outdoors and wants to help others to find it too.

Through her social media, Pip is building a community of learning-disabled para climbers. With support from her mum, she uses her platform to share her outdoor activities, encouraging others to display the same courage, resilience and perseverance as her, and give them a go. She also suggests how people can overcome the barriers to getting involved.
