The Involvement Matters Team (IMT) has spent nearly 25 years ensuring that people with a learning disability influence decisions across East Sussex.
As the County Council’s official reference group, they’ve co-produced training, improved easy-read information, and campaigned nationally to tackle discrimination and hate crime.
Their creative initiatives include the “There’s More to Me than a Learning Disability” campaign and mental health projects such as Pass-It-On. With achievements spanning health, social care, inclusion, and equality, IMT members – each an inspiring advocate – have transformed services and challenged stereotypes.
