Unlocking Excellence Group at Autism Together is a team of seven autistic adults with learning disabilities who work as co-researchers on an NHS mental health study in partnership with the CANDDID research team.
They help improve community-based mental health support by co-producing research methods, reviewing materials, and ensuring all information is accessible.
The group has developed easy read resources, supported survey design, and carried out peer-to-peer interviews with people with lived experience.
They have also delivered well-received NHS conference workshops to over 170 professionals, demonstrating the value and impact of meaningful co-production in research across the health and care sectors in the UK
